Let it Snow, Let it Snow, Let it Snow...

On Saturday we enjoyed our first snowfall of the year, and I was excited!!!  First because I actually do like snow if it's not too much and hazardous....and second because I knew I had 2 photo shoots that I was doing that day...and I have been looking forward to taking some pictures in the snow this year!!  First up was a last minute photo shoot that I did for my great friend/coworker Jen and her husband Ryan. We had our work "holiday brunch" that was held at the convention center in downtown Lanc (which is pretty amazing by the way!) that morning, so we just stepped out to the square to snap a few pics afterwards.  The snow had just started then, so it wasn't laying yet, but if you look closely in some of them you can see it swirling about! Here are some of my favorites....

Every year my husband's family has a christmas party at Pheasant Run B & B...if you have ever been there you know their property is amazing anytime of year, but I was blown away when I saw how spectacular it looked yesterday with all the fresh snow that had yet to be touched or disturbed....isn't that when snow is the best, when it is all perfect and white and covers everything like a soft blanket....=)  Anyways, about a week or so ago my brother -in -law's girlfriend and good friend of mine, Kirsten, asked if I would snap a few pictures of them before the party since we were going to be there anyways that night...of course I said yes...Kirsten has blessed me over and over again with helping to watch my two little ladies...so I felt like this was the least I could do =)  The snow was really coming down pretty hard by then, and they were super troopers for putting up with the cold weather without coats...lemme tell ya!  But, in the end, it was definitely worth it...I love the images I was able to capture, and Kirsten just looked beautiful with her green sweater and wonderful red hair...it's the first thing you notice in the pictures, gauranteed (that and the beautiful snow!)  I actually LOVED photographing in the snow...the lighting just works out so perfect...and what an amazing backdrop =)  I hope you enjoy them!

**and for the record, NO, these are not engagement pictures...just wanted to clarify that =) ***
